Connect your support email
Forward your support mailbox to nabudesk, and every message arrives as a ticket.
Customers keep writing to your normal support address. You forward that mailbox to a nabudesk address, and each message arrives as a ticket.
Add a support address
- Open Admin → Email settings.
- Add the support address your customers write to, a display name, and, if you like, a default group for its tickets.
- Copy the forwarding address nabudesk generates for it.
- In your email provider (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or similar), set up forwarding from your support mailbox to that address.
- Send a test email. The address changes from Waiting to Receiving once mail has arrived.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Waiting | The address exists, but no mail has arrived yet. |
| Receiving | Mail is arriving and being turned into tickets. |
| Disabled | The address is not accepting mail. |
Several addresses
You can add several support addresses, such as sales and billing, each with its own default group. One of them is the default address, used when no other matches.
Send from your own domain
To have replies come from your own address, add your domain under Email settings and publish the three DNS records shown there with your domain provider. Replies are sent from your domain once it is verified.
The number of domains depends on your plan: 1 on Starter, 5 on Pro, and 20 on Enterprise.
How conversations stay together
- A customer's reply is added to the ticket it belongs to, not to a new one.
- Attachments and inline images arrive with the message.
- A reply on a resolved or closed ticket reopens it.
- The same message is never turned into two tickets.
